On
August 10, 2006, hear
Calgary's best summer youth festival for FREE! Come out and
"Toast"
in the sun and
"Jam"
to the music and cheer on your favorite youth band. Last year
nearly 1800 people came out to hear performances by several hot
bands and performers.
Toast N' Jam is a
musical festival in the park for youth. Bands and singers battle
for the title of the top musical youth talent in Calgary and a
panel of judges decide who the top three winners are. New this
year is a fan favorite award where the audience votes. Not only
is there fresh talent to listen to but there is also rock
climbing, gladiator jousting, an obstacle course, resource
tables and much more!
Last year's event
saw over 1800 youth and their families attend. The area and
event is well equipped to handle this number of people, and
volunteers, security / parking control, Bylaw Officers, Calgary
Police Service, the Calgary Fire Department, and EMS will all be
on-site to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
